King Elementary offers after school programming through the DCPS Out of School Time Program (OSTP) for preschool through 5th grade, and strives to provide a combination of learning, enrichments and free play to each of our students in a safe and nurturing environment. DCPS afterschool programs allow students to participate in academic and extracurricular enrichment activities and to develop new hobbies and skills. DCPS teachers, paraprofessionals, and community-based organizations provide a variety of unique programming options to students. Participation in high-quality afterschool programming has been proven to improve school attendance, academic achievement, graduation rates, and attitudes toward learning. Students attending two and a half hours of afterschool programs each day gain the equivalent of nearly two months of learning time.
Enrollment
Enrollment is online only at and must be done on a computer, not a device. If you do not have access to a computer, DC Public Libraries have computers available to the public. Cost
For School Year 21-22, co-payment fees will be discontinued. ALL DCPS families enrolled in OSTP programs will participate at no cost.
